Moves beyond 50 miles are intrastate moves. We currently operate exclusively within the borders of Colorado, though we plan to expand into neighboring areas once this becomes viable. Local moves are indeed easier and more straightforward than long-distance moves, but there are a couple of essential points to keep in mind.

First, large appliances like freezers can take many hours to reach their operating temperature after you plug them back in following your move. That means you can’t just put frozen food in an ice chest before your move, then move it back into the freezer as soon as we unload it at your new residence.

Second, you may need to transport non-allowables yourself. These are items that we cannot move except in extraordinary circumstances, such as hazardous materials like acids or ammunition. While we can’t break the law, we can provide you with useful information and, sometimes, tools and equipment to transport these things. (Hint: It often involves lots of blankets)

Instead, smart packing focuses on using labels, colors, and even box designs to make it easy to find particular items. Here at Armada Moving, our well-trained staff know how to use smart packing to keep items of the same type together, clearly label things, and otherwise ensure that every box goes where it should.
